What are your specific security concerns? Just don't want the camera's connected to the Inet?
I have 3 Argus 2 cameras and they all send emails fine... but I am sending them to a gmail account. Just as a test... I would set up a temp gmail account and try that to see if it something on your end or with the camera. You say your email server is local... is it in a DMZ... do you manage your own Firewall? Can you see traffic on port 25? Hope that helps.Bill
Occasionally I have to grab my ladder, clime up, disconnect my Argus 2 from my solar panel and physically pull and re-seat the battery in order to reboot the camera due to issues. Why in this day and age would a developer NOT program a simple reboot function in the software? This is very frustrating... Come on REOLINK!
Batteries are expensive.... and if you buy rechargeables and the charger, that's another $60! Really like the features of the Keen and where I wish to mount the camera, I have no power options without ugly cables. The Argus to the Argus 2 was a positive step forward in the battery department. The Keen is the second gen indoor camera with PTZ and looks promising. The one thing stopping me from the purchase.... batteries. I recently purchased the Argus 2 (and have a second on the way), and was looking hard at the Keen.... it's a no go for me.Maybe the next gen will have the rechargeable battery built in. Disappointed...
Why did I have to contact support, have you gain access (via my password and my camera UID) to my camera put my specific camera into a que of some sort to get upgrade, and it take 2 days to get upgrade? Why are users unable to have the camera check for an upgrade, have it pull down the code and do the upgrade once the code is available? This seems to be an archaic way to perform an upgrade.
You may need to contact Reolink support via email to get them to upgrade your Argus for longer recording times. That is what I had to do and now I can record up to 30 seconds post motion trigger.
Currently setting up PIR sensor areas is quite frustrating. There should be a way for the development team to build in a viewing grid that at least gives an approximate guide as to where the most optimized PIR sensor are is via the current viewing screen through the application. This would greatly improve set up of the camera and is one thing that is really missing from the camera. Other than that, it seems to work great.
It would be great if my Argus 2 camera would have the ability to schedule periods of the day where the camera siren could be turned off (i.e. during the day, but on at night) during certain periods of the day. Right now it seems to be all or nothing. Thanks
