Objective is to monitor/secure around a small shed that sits isolated at the edge of a lake. Not quite on the edge but rather 15 feet or so up the bank.Power is available at the shed. Thought is that a motion activated camera watching the door will deter the honest intruder. Hoping that an added siren, set off by camera motion with it's external relay output will add to the deterrence.Motion will be recorded on internal SD card.Basically trying to discourage vandalism while realizing the hard core will take camera and all anyways My WiFi is about 3-500feet away, across the lake. My cell can reach from the location using my WiFi, but not reliably enough to assure 24/7 recording. I'm thinking of using a Reolink WiFi camera for the job, perhaps increasing range using additional antenna?Have not decided on model yet. Looking for best range, spotlight, local recording on SD card and hopefully a relay to activate (external) siren.Hoping that extending range of a camera has been done before and that recommendations / suggestions are available. Adding a wireless bridge is not an option due to budget constraints. Sorry about the loose measurement
I'm using a 5o" TV, upright, as a realtime monitor station for a couple of ReoLinks and some Axis IP cams.On a dedicated Mac Mini, using Security Spy. It works very well, but there is a bit of a lag, perhaps due to the extra resolution. Using the ReoLink Client seems a bit smoother so I'm planning to use the ReoLink client for the 423 at least. The downside is that it takes up a lot of extra screen real estate, at top and bottom of video feed.I currently overlay the ReoLink Client with Groups from Security Spy. A bit clumsy, but workable.Ideally I would be able to get streams without any border, I.e. limited to just the image that I can position on the screen for each Cam.I'm hoping for 7-8 images that will get monitored in real time. 65" 4K TV in one corner and an upright 50" 4K for Cams in another corner.Currently using 30" Apple display but as one gets older, the larger images will be nice Thought I'd ask here for possible suggestions before embarking on a "roll my own" project.Perhaps as an aside... a feature request to remove top and bottom of ReoLink Client, similar to how the configuration panel can be made to disappear. It would then be perfect for my application.
Saving is actually done, confirmed by Windows client, but to make them reappear on the Mac client one has to click the Preset button again. All good for now. Presets in iOS app would be nice
What am I missing? I can add presets and use them but they are not being saved.Mac Client version 2.2.8.30RLC-423 firmware: 1168_160700808_v1.0.0.30
Hi,New to reolink. Just got a 411 and a 423. Updated firmware using reolink client for Mac.At the end of the update I got an error dialog with option to abort or continue. Since it was at 100% complete I did a continue.Everything seems to work normally but thought I would ask if I'm in for grief.Unfortunately I missed getting the content of the dialog. New firmware version is showing in system info, so hopefully it was just an error on exit of the actual firmware update.
