HiI am getting tired of charging every second week, so I need something better than rcr123. Have anyone tried fitting 18650 or 16650 in their Argus?I imagine putting them in series using a piece of wire and then just connecting the two positive connectors. I will of course isolate one positive and one ground connector within the camera so that I get the batteries in series. Anyone already tried that? I can't see any arguments against connecting the two positive connectors... Best regardsJens
Hi BobThank you for your reply.I still think you are totally missing the point of my post. You spend time creating a new version of the camera even before you have the original version up and running. You write:
For example, some reported isseus like failing to send Emails with attachment, and missing recording, etc.
HiAm I the only one who thinks that it seems a bid odd that Reolink creates a Pro-version before the standard version is even done?Where is the cloud service? When is that coming? You have PIR motion detection that works allot worse than my $5 china LED outdoor lamp (I mean, seriously ALLOT worse). The camera miss much of the beginning of every recording (far from 0.1 second that you started out by mentioning)I have a Argus camera that, according to the battery life indicator, have between 0.2 and 4 min activity every day even if nothing is recorded? The 6 sec recording causes motion right in front of the camera not to be recorded for multiple seconds for some reason? I often see 6 seconds recording followed by 6-12 seconds of "space" followed by yet 6 seconds of recording. I think this is related to the very poor PIR control. So, my wish for Christmas this year? not a pro-version, just a v. 1.0 of the firmware.Thanks.Best RegardsJens
HiI backed this project on Indiegogo and cloud storage was mentioned as one of the selling points. I have not seen any updates regarding this? What is the status and when can we expect to be able to store recordings in a cloud solution?Best RegardsJens
Hi BobThank you for your reply. I am aware of the way that the camera should work given that it is battery powered. There is a huge difference between the 0,7 seconds and the situation I describe. Also, you don´t address the fact that I get a picture send by e-mail that is not recorded on the video. I see a delay from motion detection and until video starts recording that is closer to 3 seconds than to 0,7. Is 0,7 seconds just a marketing number or does other customers actually see this kind of performance?Best Regards Jens
HiI have four Reolink Argus cameras, all running FW 0825_2179_2177_22.Each of the cameras use an 8 GB class 10 micro SD card.I see this behavior on all cameras:Motion detection occur, an image is captured (of what caused the motion) and video recording starts. I get an e-mail with the picture. When I see the movie, however, I don´t see it from the beginning where the motion was detected. Instead it seems that 2-3 seconds between the time where the picture is taken and until video starts recording is lost.Hence, I get many notifications with pictures of an object (e.g. person or cat) and then when I see the movie they contain no moving objects at all (because they have passed the camera before video recording have started). Do any of you see the same behavior? Also, it seems that from the time motion is detected and until the image is captured it takes 1-2 seconds.I am not very impressed about that.Best RegardsJens
