For starters, it would be enough for me if the 4K view worked in the browser, or at least 5MP.It's unclear to me why the camera is advertised with 4K when I can't use the 8MP resolution in the browser.
I bought the RLC-811A camera today with the latest firmware. Unfortunately, the problem still exists. The program for Windows is not an alternative for me, because I do not use Windows and until today there is no Reolink program for Linux. Is an update of the browser view for 8mp still being worked on? Because I'm thinking about sending the camera back if 4K resolution is not possible.
HelloUnfortunately, I just read the post today.I will now make an update and test the configuration. If everything works, I can replace the existing 11 year old camera with a new Reolink.
Any new findings yet?I would like to replace this weather camera with a Reolink:It would be wonderful if you could realize this. Maybe possible with a RLC-511WA?
Thank you very much. I am looking forward to a positive feedback.
Hello...I already use the FTP function. It works very well. However, I miss the possibility to set that a photo should always have the same file name and an older photo is replaced by a new one. If I want to use the camera as a webcam, the photo on the server must always have the same file name and always be in the same folder in order to display the photo on a web page.Currently, each uploaded photo is given its own file name and moved to year folder, month folder and day folder. So linking on a web page, which can only work with static file names, is not possible. It would be nice if this function was possible. That would expand the functional range of their very good camera technology by quite a bit.
Hello,I would like to use a weather camera for a website. For this to work, it must be possible for the camera to send a photo to my server at defined intervals. This photo must be able to get a defined name. The file name must always be the same. An old photo on the server should be overwritten with a new photo. How can I define such a setting? With which Reolink cameras does this work?
Hello Reolink. There are very many users who are interested in a Linux client. In the topic already since the year 2016.Unfortunately, nothing has happened so far.The assumption is that they do not want to support Linux.Very Very pity.
Hello.Unfortunately the client runs only partly under Linux with Wine. The settings can be accessed. The sound is transmitted. But unfortunately no picture. Did anyone get the client running on Linux? Greetings from Switzerland.Bildschirmfoto-zu-2020-02-11-22-32-37.png
