Just switched from another camera company that had the option to see the motion and person events in one page and it showed only the part that had motion or a person in it until either went away. Then they had an option to see the continuous recording if need be. It is a huge pain right now in the app to see the motion event on my doorbell or when someone pushed my doorbell. This is in app version 4.35.1.1 on Android.
