@joseph_1979 I'm OK with the cable whip. Reolink is not Axis and when others try to add the network connection in the camera it often creates other issues. Axis does it well, but when Hikvision tried it, it was rather painful to deal with. What I would like to see happen is better quality junction boxes. Reolink charges a lot for junction boxes that aren't even close to the quality of Hikvision, Uniview, and Dahua. Uniview is below Hikvision and Dahua for junction boxes, but they are better than Reolink. 3/4" KO should be standard on all junction boxes, not 1/2", M20, or M22. I just installed a few cameras on a recent install and I had to use geneic wall mount brackets because I didn't like the Reolink wall mount for the Reolink Duo 3V PoE. The one I used and the Reolink branded mount didn't have conduit KOs though or a way to mount them to a standard electrical box. However, but that time, the mount would stick out too far.I would use the turret cameras over domes, but I don't like the friction fit. I would rather have a set screw like Uniview camera have for their turrets. The reason I chose Reolink for smaller installs is because the image is good and the software is better than Dahua/Hikvision. The app is easy to use. The one downside is needing to pull my laptop out because the NVR always seems to have outdated firmware that won't detect the latest available.
@yofiveoh_476071468032204 One would probably want the battery version when they have premise wiring available because there is a wider field of view. I have the original model, and I can't see my entire front porch. With the new model, I would be able to. However, the new model is a weaker design. It offers the field of view I'm looking for but lacks RTSP and continuous recording.
