Just to throw this out there. It might be the embedded Linux. Not all mouses will work. After some research I have found 4 that are listed for DVR / NVR.

Logitech M185,
Logitech M310, (which I have, works front and rear)
Logitech M325,
Logitech M510.

Also try to plug in the receiver then reboot NVR.

Are the receivers for these ones that work the Unifying type or an earlier version of receiver?
