I have 2 RLC-410W cameras and a Synology NAS and a couple of Apple Macs. I find the Synology brilliantly easy to setup and use. The way it archives the video files makes it really easy to go back and search for the date and time if you need to. The Reolink software is ok and provides more technical info about the camera and setting up the camera streaming preferences. The Reolink app (iOS) is very simple and easy to use too.
I have a couple of RLC-410W's installed at home. I'm very happy with their performance. I capture to a Synology NAS as well as to the SD card. At night time the cameras work well in motion detection and the IR helps but even with a LED PIR anyone walking along the street past the front of the house (the camera is about 5 metres from the path) is reduced to a blur. You get a sense of being able to recognise them but any screen captures are pretty useless unless they stop! I realise this must be a common problem but is there anyway to improve the capture by changing the settings? Stream is set to Clear, Res: 2560*1440, 15 fps, Bitrate: 3072. Firmware is v3.0.0.136_20121102Or are any of the newer models much better? Thanks in advance.
