I properly disposed of the camera already, so no further action is required!
There is one thing about Reolink: Their software department really sucks. They need a kick in the b.., and get things going.I contacted them about 8 months before the Flash deadline and they assured me it is already in the works.I than found a firmware update for my camera, downloaded it, updated the camera ---- and then............BRICK!
We need the HTML5 now!Every software needs some debug time. If you release the HTML5support by end of year, we will be doomed! It takes at least 6 Months to get all the bugs out of the system.I did not buy several cameras to be stuck by end of 2020 andstart all over again!PLEASE PUBLISH A RELEASE DATE TO SHOW YOUR COMMITMENT
I have a dumb question:How do you assign a channel to a WS type camera, or a camera that is not directly plugged into the LAN port of the NVR?I have two RLC-423 cameras (one is a wireless WS), and i have but cameras shown plus two ghost cameras as channel 1 + 2.For the actual cameras the channel selection is grayed out.
The RLC-423 is a high res camera, that is why I bought it. If I want to send a picture to wunderground.com it gets rejected because it is too large (max=150kb).I can set the camera to a lower res and make it work, but that would leave me with a low res recording too.I wonder if there is a way to get a snap from the Fluent stream, rather than from the CLEAR stream.I can get both to work, but the problem is that the picture size cannot be more than 150kb.So, I have to set the camera to a very low resolution. I don’t want to do that because I am recordingin HIGH resolution so that I can see detail.I would be great if I could tell the URL what stream to use CLEAR or FLUENT, most webcams have that feature. Then I set fluent to low res and clear to high res.Like that:http://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:8888/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=0&stream=fluent&rs=FrontCam&user=action&password=xxxxxxor like other cameras allow:http://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:8888/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=1or2or 3……&rs=FrontCam&user=action&password=xxxxxxPlease let me know if anyone has the API.CGI command manual so that I can possibly find the correct syntax myself.
I just (2 weeks ago) got 2 Reolink RLC423 and a Reolink NVR.I have to say that the Reolink Client software is one of the worst things I have ever seen.I have the cams working, I get alarms, but I cannot figure out how to use the nvr via the web.FireFox and Chrome are not working with the webclient, but internet explorer seems to work.
