@reolinkshayla tried 4.44, fullscreen mode is better but can't swipe left/right to see next camera. Gone back to 4.40
4.41 unusable, raised a support request and got a link to install 4.40 now able to view in portrait and see motion events again. Hopefully 4.42 will be of better quality
@reolinkshayla latest version is awful ! Forcing landscape mode is annoying, particularly as it doesn't recognise upside down landscape so view is presented upside down and tablet has to be rotated 180degrees. Should auto rotate to any orientation like the previous version.View quality defaults back to low res requiring clear to be reselected on every live view and every playback view.Cannot find a way to playback just motion events.
OK I've found double clicking on the image at 100% zoom takes me to 4 camera split view. I can live with that. Next annoyance is it randomly resets from high quality to low quality view, and sometimes the quality selection icon shows as low even if the image is high.
Before the last update I used to be able to switch to 4 camera split screen view by zooming smaller than 100%, now however it just makes the image smaller until I let go when it zooms back to 100%. This is an annoying loss of functionality how can I quickly switch to multi camera view now ?
I have 2 tablets (Samsung s5e and Samsung s7+) both viewing the same 4k camera in live view from a rln8-410-e dvr. They are both connecting via the same 5ghz WiFi network. They used to show identical video but since the latest update the s5e is 5 seconds behind (as shown by the video timestamp) ... how can there be a 5 second difference in a LIVE view? surely they should be the same, or at most milliseconds different allowing for processing power differences of the two tablets. The s5e also now experiences brief picture "freezes" where a moving object appears to jump from one place to another as it catches up.
Please can you make the android app easier to use in landscape mode on an android tablet. Currently while trying to use the playback option it switches between portrait and landscape mode, so if I want to play back a motion detection the sequence sequence of actions are like ....1.Watching camera in landscape 2. Hit back button... it switches to portrait3. Select playback quickly or it auto returns to landscape4. Click show alarm videos only ... quickly or it switches to portrait5. Select time for clip to watch ... switches to landscape.. I'm never quick enough to get the one I want before it switches6. Click back ... switches to portrait7. Quickly Click clip I want ... switches to landscape8. Not the correct clip so Click back ... switches to portrait .... grrrAnd so on Being able to use the large tablet (Samsung s7+) in landscape mode without all this flip/flopping between landscape and portrait would be a great bonus.Second request is I have 6 cameras and when watching playback on one camera it would be nice to be able to switch to another and carry on watching from the same time the first camera was on. This would make it much easier to follow a subject as they moved around between the areas the camera cover. Currently I have to note the time as I switch and the go thru the hassle of finding the same time on the new camera. Third request, in portrait mode the time pops up as you move the video position slider making it relatively easy to jump to a particular time, in landscape however it doesn't do this so it's guesswork trying to find an exact time to start playback. Maybe add an option to allow the user to enter the time they want to playback. Thanks for listening.
Is there any development happening on this? I also find I'm getting many false alerts due to clouds, trees, shadows, wind moving bushes etc. I've tweaked all the settings as recommended, masking off as much as possible but can see no way of masking shadows and light level changes without effectively masking the whole image thereby rendering the detection useless.
I have an RLK8-800B4 nvr and 4 camera pack and have setup 3 of the camera with a direct ethernet cable connection to the NVR. The 4th camera I would like to setup in the summerhouse at the end of the garden which is further away that the supplied ethernet cables. However I already have a router in the summerhouse, bridged to the one the nvr is plugged into, connected via cat6 cable. I attach a picture of the proposed setup. So my question is can I somehow plug the B800 camera into the summerhouse router (once I upgrade it to one that supports POE) or do I have to run another cable just for the camera all the way back to the nvr? Alternatively is there an alternative camera that would support this setup, as I eventually want 2 remote camera so will be buying another one anyway.thanksSteveb800setup.jpg
