Unable to set the NVR in record on motion only

Web interface and Windows app will only permit me to enable recording, they will not permit me to specify always or motion only. See attached image.

There is no attachment in your post. And I have seen that your NVR is not at the latest firmware version. You can try to upgrade your camera. This is a download site, https://reolink.com/download-center/.
Please upgrade your camera according to your NVR model and hardware version. When you click the firmware version block, you will see the different versions for the different hardware version.

Absolutely no difference after the upgrade. Only able to set the squares blue and there is absolutely nothing on "always on vs motion only".
