Hi I noticed that all of my 410ws are connecting to 2.4ghz so I tried changing the 5.8 network name to be able to differentiate between the two bands and scanned with one of the cameras, found it, tried to connect but gave a fail message now I can't see the cam anymore in any network even changing the network name back, and can't change the camera setup since the software does not find it in the network. I guess it's time to climb to the roof once again to bring the camera down to do the reset 😞  😞 😞

After that is there any way to choose the 5.8 network? are both networks supposed to have same names or different?

      Thanks,

      Fernando

        Hello Fernando,

Whether the camera will connect to a 2.4GHz network or 5GHz network is depending on the band of the wireless network you choose, if you choose a 5GHz network, the camera will connect to 5GHz.

But the Wi-Fi signal of that network is very important, if you choose to connect to the 5GHz network, but the Wi-Fi signal is very weak, I'm afraid the connection may not be stable and even be disconnected.

Normally the 5GHz will be sharply weakened by obstacles, if your camera is mounted to a place that is not close to the router, or there is any wall between, it is suggested to use 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz.
