Camera is the RLC-823A PTZ Outdoor Camera, PoE, 5X Optical Zoom.

I find when zooming in on an object at or near the horizon, I run out of tilt to keep the object in the view.

Is there a way to increase the up tilt to zoom on an object on the horizon?

I submitted a report to support about not getting the full 90 degree tilt on my RLC-820a camera. They're aware of the problem. I believe its a hardware/firmware problem that's not going to be fixed.

You can get the full 90 degree tilt by manually moving the lens upward and then downward on the camera and that will reset the tilt range to the full 90 degrees.. But after a reboot the camera resets to the smaller range.

            Interesting.
            Camera on or off?
            Thanks!

The camera needs to be powered on to manually increase the tilt range. The tilt range will reset to the smaller range if the camera looses power or is rebooted.
