Can't get to the download button on the download screen, it doesn't fit on my 1920 x 1080 display. And there's no way to resize or move the download screen to get the download button to show so I can't download any videos.
@mblaser “Mblaser”, thanks for the link to your great Reddit review. Your videos and details were awesome. Your review will definitely be use on any decision I make on buying one of these new cameras. Link is bookmarked! Thanks for your “6x hybrid zoom” explanation and the specifications for the two lenses.
Here are what I was given for the specs of each lens:Wide angle: 3840x2160 (8MP) @ 25fps. f=2,8mm, F=1.6 Angle H 104°V 60°Telephoto: 1920x1080 (2MP) @ 20fps. f=8mm, F=1.6 Angle H 38°V 21°
Nice to see the telephoto at 20 fps, but I’m guessing it drops down into the 10-12 fps. under low light conditions like the other Reolink cameras. Ghosting/smearing of moving object is a problem with Reolink cameras and agree, that Reolink should bring back the old ghosting/smearing image controls. They’ve been including spotlights on the newer cameras and forget about the people who want to track animals that enter their yards and can’t use those lights in fear of spooking the critters. I liked your deer and squirrel videos, very helpful because I use my cameras mainly to capture the night time critters. Thanks for the different “Tracking method” videos! That’s the first I've heard about about those options! The telephoto auto tracking is far better than I expected and is quick to focus and doesn’t seem to blur (unlike my RLC-R823a camera). Although the telephoto zoom doesn’t seem as tight during nigh time to me. Looks like it will be a great camera and hope Reolink keeps refining the firmware to make it even better before it hits the public for purchase.Great review, very informative and helpful!John
It would be nice if Reolink sold a corner mounting bracket with pre drilled holes that would fit their PTZ & PT cameras. Being able to mount a camara to a building’s corner would allow for 270-degree surveillance of the building.
Argus 2 camera capture of a buck in my back yard. I'm not a hunter, but was wondering how many points for this buck!
@reolink-fiona Client version 8.5.2 has also fixed the scaling problem I was having with the download window and not able to see the download button. Everything now fits and I'm able to click on the download button. And I like the new changes made to the download window(s). Thank you!
I have four Argus 2 cameras and an Argus PT (2k). I replaced one of my Argus 2 at the same location with the PT (2K). I mainly use them to capture critters that wonder into my yard. Argus PT (2K) vs Argus 2 Pros:. Better image detail and better night vision.. Smart Motion detection (Person/Vehicle). Great for limiting alerts and works well.. Pan and Tilt. Great for alignment of image where you want it.. 16x digital zoom vs 6x for the Argus 2 Argus PT (2K) vs Argus 2 Cons:. Slower to wake up and record.. WIFI connection seems a little bit touchier.. Larger in size (Not a big deal for me).. The battery is not replaceable. The PT (2k) is superior except for the slower wakeup time to record. Which is a decrement in capturing the quick moving critters moving thru the image.
@reolink-fiona OK, thanks! I'll try that. I do not want to lose the Email alerts to my gmail accounts.
Argus 2 camera strapped to a rain gutter of my house and is about 6 ft. from the bird bath.
@reolink-fiona Done! RMA already issued.
@john_350143387672724 Generated the google app password for all four of my Gmail accounts. Everything works as stated it would. All my cameras are now sending Email alerts using Googles two step verification. Thanks for the help!John
Can't use links here. Try googling for "POE Splitter" and you should find what you're looking for.
Back in late July, both the Android app and Windows client indicated that there was a new firmware update available for my Argus PT 2k camera (firmware version v3.0.0.1045_22061301). But both the app and client failed to install the new firmware. So, I opened a ticket with customer support and had them look into why the update failed. They asked for my UID and password and tried to update the firmware themselves, but FAILED! They said there were problems with firmware updates and told me to wait 2-4 weeks. Nothing has changed for me, I’m still on the original firmware I had at the time I purchased the camera. Both the app and client no longer indicate that a firmware update is available. I think they had problems with firmware updates and the way updates were being done, but they NEVER indicated to me what the problem was. I have no problems with my camera and its current firmware and the way its operating.Good Luck!

@jeff-dazell_193619427659956 Search for flexible camera mounts on Amazon. Should be able to find something like this one. (can't post links here!!!)amazon link
Vidpro-FA-22-Heavy-Duty-22-Inch-Flex/dp/B07DHRXKP3/ref=sr_1_29?crid=2UGG7IECYES9O&keywords=flexible+camera+mount&qid=1667327237&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjQ3IiwicXNhIjoiNS4yMSIsInFzcCI6IjQuODgifQ%3D%3D&s=electronics&sprefix=flexible+camera+mount%2Celectronics%2C97&sr=1-29era+mount%2Celectronics%2C97&sr=1-29
Try enabling both: RTSP & ONVIF.
A POE splitter may work. You can find one that has 12V 2A Output on Amazon which I believe is what the power adapters are. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
The new tracking method is working well and is much improved over the existing method. I’m really liking the changes made. Found some anomalies that may need some tweaking. Seems like different object sizes and zoom levels can affect tracking and may need some checking. You can view video examples of the problems and screen shots of the tracking options used here in a folder in my dropbox …. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/pax0vv7h0eadjjog26480/h?dl=0&rlkey=9thn1vow9vcg5vhoa55kadz93 Example 1:· Tracking lost on bus moving out of left most view.· Not able to keep up with a fast-moving van. Example2:· Tracking lost on garbage truck moving out of left most view. Example3:· Not able to track a guy riding a bike with dog. Too fast of movement. Example 4:· Tracks and follows a fast-moving car correctly, but then misses tracking a kid on his bike that comes into viewing frame. Example 5:· Misses a fast-moving motorcycle. Example 6:· Misses tracking a guy walking his dog Example 7:· Tracking of car lost because of IR glare after first frame adjustment. (I Know being picky ... camera placement problem) Example 8:· Not able to track truck with lights on during rain. Example 9:· Losing right most tracking of car with lights on during rain. Example 10:· Not able to track neighbor’s car pulling out of his driveway.
Not exactly what you wanted, but maybe this link for the RLC-423 may be of some help.
