I have just setup 2 new 820A cameras which save to a Synology NAS. I am trying to decide whether to use the Synology Surveilance Station or the Reolink client. I have them both working but obviously I need to choose which to use. What are everyones thoughts?
I have 2 RLC-410W cameras and a Synology NAS and a couple of Apple Macs. I find the Synology brilliantly easy to setup and use. The way it archives the video files makes it really easy to go back and search for the date and time if you need to. The Reolink software is ok and provides more technical info about the camera and setting up the camera streaming preferences. The Reolink app (iOS) is very simple and easy to use too.
Can a camera be set to continue to record to the SD card and used with the Reolink Windows client and Android app while also saving to the Synology NAS? At some point, I will likely buy the Reolink NVR, but in the meantime, it would be really nice to have it backed up away from the camera without dealing with cloud storage. Thanks!
