So far ip cameras provide two ways of informing the owner either through a push message notification or email. How about adding a VOIP application where the camera can call the owner and any other added recipients? Sometimes we receive so many emails and messages on our smartphone that the we tend to ignore the push notifications from the camera. There is no way to differentiate them either. So if instead the camera can call then we will definitely not miss it. So far I haven't seen any supplier providing this and once again you can be the first to introduce.

I am not sure what phone you use. But the iOS push notification sound from Reolink camera is quite unique. iOS also lets you set a critical alert that gets displayed even when the phone is locked. VOIP sounds interesting but I'm not sure I want my phone to ring whenever my camera detects a cat in my porch. -
@jedi2020_32727772450952 I have Android and have other applications receiving push notifications. It is not possible to differentiate. It should come with a schedule similar to push/email notifications and you can opt which detection shall use this feature. Would a push notification or an email wake you up during the night? IP cameras are becoming intelligent and taking over the alarm panels. For instance this can be combined with facial recognition and say you shall receive a call when a certain person enter the premises. The list is endless.............

@jedi2020_32727772450952 I receive a lot of emails (snmp traps) and push notifications from the mobile and IMS networks and having them on the watch will drive me crazy. It is a suggestion which Reolink can evaluate.

With iOS, you can select the notifications that go to watch or disable sound for non critical push like email, etc. I only set sound with push notification for my front door camera mainly for package delivery. But I hear your VOIP suggestion. -
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 An application of a callout is the DOORBELL. We might be waiting for a parcel and want to be called when the courier presses the button on the doorbell. Receiving a push notification is not adequate especially if we receive lots of messages on our smartphones. It doesn't necessary need to be VOIP but other methods exist.
Push notification, email and why not VOIP
