When I try to use the talk function in the reolink app with my samsung g20 plus I get the message "please allow the app to access your microphone for two-way talk". How do I that? I know the volume is working , as it plays music well.

This would be the microphone permission. Go to settings in your samsung - then apps - find the reolink app and allow the microphone permission. Should work fine them.
