Can someone tells me how to store recordings from my 822A cam to my NAS. It isn't clear to me if that can be done directly which i prefer or is it so that the recordings only can be stored to a sd card from where i have to ftp them to my NAS?
      Thanks in advance,

      Greetz, Paul

@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 Install an ftp server on NAS and setup the ftp on the camera. If you need secure ftp then use ftps if available. Therefore the recording will be stored on SD and then ftped to your NAS.

            Thanks for the quick reply
Pity that the direct way isn't possible. But glad that there is a way without paying for cloud storage. There are not so many manufacturers where storing on own storage is possible which Reolink still is a good choice.
            Thanks

@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 Of course you can do it directly as long as you have an NVR compatible with Reolink cameras.

              Have a look at https://reolink.com/product/rln16-410/

Just for my interest which NAS do you have?

@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 Thanks. There is no add-on which can turn this NAS into an NVR and so the solution with your existing system is to use ftp. It's easy to configure ftp/ftps on NAS but I don't know whether ftps is available on this camera. Check from the Reolink download center whether you are running the most updated firmware on the camera.

Didn't know you can turn your NAS in a NVR with a addon. But i am sure it isn't the case in an old NAS like my Netgear. But good to know that it's possible. I will remember when i buy a new NAS in the future.
Yes the Reolink supports FTP. That i figured out before i bought them.
Actually it is weird that you can store recordings directly to an SD card and not directly to a NAS. What's the difference? Maybe the fact that the SD is build in the cam.

@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 I stated there is NO add-on to turn your NAS to NVR. So you need to replace your NAS with an NVR to have it directly saved. In your case if you save the video on SD and activated ftp then after the video is recorded, it will be transferred to your NAS. There is scheduling too. Just see what suits you.

Okay. Read to quick. Sorry!! 🙂
For me the most important thing is that the recordings can be stored on the NAS.
                        Thanks for your time
