The real value for me is software and support. Many camera vendors only support mobile app, not desktop client app for Mac or PC. Mobile app is fine on the go but the experience is no match for viewing on the large screen running the client app. The support for desktop client eliminates the need for finding and running some third party apps (e.g Blue Iris, etc.). The hardware experience can only be as good as the software can provide, imo.
