    Device network error 483 when trying to set up email alerts

      ok, I have been trying various iterations to get this to work from my Reolink NVR. I have tried using a yahoo account my wife owns, and it doesn't work there either. I have also tried using the recommendations using an app generated password for my gmail account and that does not work either.

      Do email alerts work using a gmail account and if so, what is the step by step procedure to make this work? I am an IT guy and I consider myself pretty savvy and this is frustrating me immensely. It should not be this difficult.

          @amenard1958_533307347460326 I have set email alert on all my cameras using gmail and have no issue. Just ensure you use the password generated by the google account as Reolink cams can't do authentication. Go to Reolink site and search for article 360007010613. If I recall correctly error code 483 is erroneous email/password.
