Having just bought RLC-823As and NVR, I have set up patrol and motion detection, but it sends a motion alert every time it moves. I understand the comparison between frames, but surely it must be possible in firmware to disable motion detection for a frame before, during and after panning, tilting or zooming?
Could you please add this as an option if it's not already there, as 187 false alerts last night means this is unusable.

I'm glad others are noticing this! It also does it if you move to a preset point and it fights you by constantly trying to immediately return to the guard point, despite setting a 180 second delay. Doesn't always happen but more often than not. Also it you manually zoom to a location it then starts tracking objects in the field of view. Could be fine for some but in my case it spots distant cars and there is no way to stop it during that instant.

As the OP says, during manual intervention, alarms and AI tracking should be momentarily disabled.

@user_657961133809775_657961133809775 Kindly check with Reolink support whether there is a newer firmware even though your version is the one shown in the download center. There is no alarm delay and object size for motion detection. I only enable person, vehicle and pet detection types and have no such issues.

@user_657961133809775_657961133809775 I brought this up with support months ago, its funny how it took a week for me to explain it to them and it was as if I was the first person to experience the issue. Whats the point of patrolling if the camera cant take into account its own movement? I bought and mounted the camera with the understanding that it would be able to scan its field of view and detect people/cars etc and its not useful for that at all. Now I'm stuck with it pointing in a fixed direction with a narrow field of view, which I could've done with a much less expensive camera. The final slap in the face was the offer of $11 partial refund for the camera which I declined.

It doesnt make any sense that the camera cannot account for its own movement when detecting fixed objects
