@thornton_620874794598455 Do a restore on one of the cameras and check again. What is the model of your smartphone?
-
@joseph_1979
Did the restore wipe away all my settings on all my cameras? Looks like it.asking me.to set up an account again.
Phone is samsung galaxy 20fe
Thanks -
@thornton_620874794598455 So it works after restore?
-
@joseph_1979 not sure..the restore messed up a lot of my settings.....some cameras working some not...i have 8
-
@thornton_620874794598455 I told you to restore one first and then one by one if the first works. Always take note of what the settings were before restoring.

@joseph_1979
When i restart my phone they all work for a couple hours....then stop....all still record but dont send notifications... -
@thornton_620874794598455 Do you have another smartphone? Just to eliminate the Samsung S20. There are a number of entities involved in the process. Android smartphone registers with Google FCM and receives a Token. The Reolink client will then forward the Token to the Reolink push application server (pushx.reolink.com). This server assigns the token to the UID of the camera. So when the camera detects an object it sends an alert to pushx.reolink.com. This application in turn sends a request to Google FCM to send a push notification to your mobile (based on the token). So the entities are the camera, Reolink pushx server, Google FCM, the mobile operator or BB ISP to deliver the message and the smartphone. FCM/Reolink pushx servers cannot be the case as it will be a global problem.
You stated that when you restart your smartphone, PMN will be received and so the cameras are OK too. Try to use another smartphone to test it out.
Note that an application on Android can have up to 24 queued push notifications. If not acknowledged you will not receive more push notification for same application. -
@joseph_1979
Just checked both or phones.....neither phone is sending notifications now....but cameras are recording....weve had system since last November..alls been good until the last week to 10 days...i can tell on my phone there has been an app update as icons are different....problem started about the same time as the update. -
@joseph_1979
I just restarted my phone only and now notifications are working correctly again on both phones again... does that help? -
@thornton_620874794598455 Can you leave the notification only on the other smartphone (not S20fe) and check again for a whole day?
-
@joseph_1979
So turn all notifications off on the 20fe? -
@joseph_1979
So turn all notifications off on the 20fe?And see if the other phone still receives notifications? Both phones were receiving notifications until aboit 5am this morning but have now stopped.
-
@joseph_1979
The other phone Samsung a42 worked correctly for 24 hrs...received notifications correctly. The 20 fe notifications were turned off as you requested. Does this help? -
@thornton_620874794598455 So this means that the cameras are sending the alert to the Reolink pushx server which in turn is sending the push request to FCM and FCM pushes the message to the A42. So there is something within the S20fe environment. Did you upgrade the S20fe lately? Are you running the latest Android?
-
@joseph_1979
I just turned on the s20fe and it too is recieving notifications now....bit it did that before for a few hours intil it stopped....no recent updates to the phone and when they do update both phones update automatically. But like i said there was some kind of update to the reo app...the app on the s20fe looks different than on the a42...... -
@thornton_620874794598455 I am running 4.37.0.6. What clients are you running on both smartphones?
-
@joseph_1979
4 37 06 on 20fe....
Ill have to check other this evening.
Also notifications.stopped on the s20fe at aboit 11 am cst today... -
@joseph_1979
I restarted my phone just now on the 20fe and notifications began working instantly -
@joseph_1979
The other phone samsung a42 is running app version 4.36.1.2
It has received notifications all day...where the 20fe did not... -
@thornton_620874794598455 Perhaps you can email Reolink to forward you an earlier version of the Android client or else update the one running on A42 to 4.37.0.6. I have no issue with this client other than the missing stretch mode live view for some cameras like E1s and RLC511s.
-
@joseph_1979
So u think updating the a42 firmware will fix the issue on my s20fe?
I downloaded the older version apk file but it would load on my s20fe... -
@joseph_1979
It WOULDN'T load on mys20fe .... -
@thornton_620874794598455 A42 is working fine. Perhaps you can update the client on this smartphone. On S20fe there is something wrong. Can you install an older version on S20fe? Email Reolink support for an official older android reolink client.
