Problem: Users with cameras in multiple locations or with many cameras at one location find it challenging to manage and distinguish between their devices effectively.
Proposed Solution: Implement a location-based filtering system.
      Details:

      • Filter Placement: At the top of the main camera page in the mobile app, there will be location filters such as "All", "Location 1", "Location 2", and so on.
      • Usage: Upon selecting a filter, only the cameras assigned to that location would display.
      • Configuration: Users can set up locations and assign devices to each location via the "Adjust Device Order" page. Notably, NVRs won't be a standalone location. Users can assign an NVR to any chosen location, accommodating those who possess an NVR alongside cameras not connected to it at the same site.
      • Naming: This system refines the camera naming process. For instance, instead of naming cameras "Location 1 Entrance", "Location 2 Entrance" users could have:
        • Location 1
          • Entrance
          • Backyard
        • Location 2
          • Entrance
          • Backyard

      Benefits:

      • Quicker navigation for users with cameras across many properties or who have many cameras at a single property(they could have locations like "Pool Area", "Garden", etc.).
      • A more intuitive naming system.
      • Easier management of cameras.

What are your thoughts on this? Are there any plans to implement some kind of location filtering?

@skeptouchous Hello there, thank you so much for the detailed suggestion. As far as I know, we don't have any plan to implement location filtering to the NVR or Client software now. But I will bring this to our team and see if we can make this happen in the future.

@skeptouchous This is referred to as grouping. This has already been suggested by members and myself and I agree that this will be very useful when one has quite a number of cameras. This should even be extended to NVR.
