Our security shattered with one update

Black Screen after running update.
I have 3 windows PC's that monitor from different rooms of the premises.
I updated two, and now all I get from one is a black screen, the other gives me a terrible image that does not change when selecting clear, fluent, or low.
The security of our site was destroyed in a single update. What the heck do we do now? We immediately ordered new cameras from a different manufacturer, but they won't make it to our remote location for a week. We have no choice but to wait and risk heavy losses due to this dumb move..
