      I did not know that this was primarily a phone thing. I don't own a (cell)phone nor will I. I found a Windows client on this site but it asks me to setup on phone. What the heck? Also, Why does it appear that the receiving device and the camera needs to be on the same network? I am sure it really isn't that way, or it would be the suckiest setup ever.. I just could not see a way to get this to work. I got this to protect my camper that has internet. I am expecting it to alert me (at another location) via the Internet in some manner with a still photo or a recorded bit because motion was detected. Am I just wishful thinking?
      I am setting this camper up today and now have to leave it unprotected because I can't get this camera to talk to my business computer. Help make this camera worth something.

          Paul, It appears from your email that you may have purchased a set of Argus cameras which are 100% battery operated devices and not really intended for long duration viewing as a hard-wired device would be. The Argus uses the Reolink smartphone client only today do to the requirements for reduced power and viewing that would quickly drain the camera's batteries. Only during setup do the devices need to be on the same network. Once configured and the camera is on your local wireless, there is no need for the client and camera to remain on the same network.

          As AK907 suggested, if you could provide us here with a few more details on what the camera model is, and maybe even some details on your internal networks we may be able to better assist you.

            Hi Paul, you purchased Reolink Argus cameras, right?
            Please kindly note that Argus is only supported on mobile App so far. It's not supported to add them to the Client software (Windows, Mac OS) or web browser.
            This was out of consideration to extend the battery life. We are thinking if it's improper to access the camera via a computer or via a web server, because when you forget to close the live view on your computer, it will cause the battery juice to run out fast.
            We have plans to add support for Argus on desktop client but still working on it and not sure about the specific release date.
