I have a RLC-410S (running version 2.0.0.889_17080802) that is set to record to SD card on motion trigger - last night I had a few events captured, and I was able to view them today via the iPhone app (ver 3.3.0.126). However, now after viewing them the events no longer appear on the iPhone app, nor via the MAC Client software. Other events from the previous few days are still there and there is plenty of storage on the SD Card (over 14GB).

I have noticed this at least one other time - it seems as if something is getting corrupted and the app/client does not know the files are there. I am accessing this camera remotely - with the phone over a LTE connection to the internet, and the MAC Client over my work internet connection. The cameras are connected via ethernet to a Wifi-back-haul to my DSL network to the internet - and sometimes it takes a few tries for the client to "connect" to the camera.

Is there any known issue with viewing files resulting in their no longer being accessible? This is concerning as if I was trying to capture a real event (theft) that I may see it once and no longer have the data.....

Let me know any information I can provide....

        Hi,

I've got a RLC-410s that backs up to a FTP server without an NVR. I haven't noticed any issues but I generally don't use the Mac Client or IOS App to review events. However, I use the web server (built in to the device to access viewing and playback. I would try and access the camera from home locally on the same network and use the cameras web server.. just stick the ip address of the camera onto the URL line on a browser and access the camera for playback etc. I have found this the most stable method to access the cameras but it is obviously more difficult to setup for remote access away from the local network. If you can access through the webserver you might find the files.. at least you'll know they are there and there's possible issues with the IOS client etc.

        Hope that makes some sense.

Thanks - I'll give that a try tomorrow - have a fair bit or port forwarding configuration to do on the router tomorrow anyway....

well, user error - turns out that the event happened 24 hours before I thought it did - hence why I could not find it.... <blush>

Now - if I could just figure out how to save a recorded clip from my iPhone client and/or Mac Client to the Phone/Mac to save.... still have not figured that one out (perhaps the web-browser route will help....)

BTW - this was the critter that caused that 2am trigger 🙂

              That's a big old bird 🙂

Ok, to download from the client (Mac Client) go into play back, set the date so you're looking at the right time etc, then top right of the playback window for that camera there's a couple of icons. a down arrow, a camera and the X to shutoff window. Hit the down arrow and you can see all the files on the SD card, download and use the spy glass on the file to open as i'm not sure of the path on the machine where it saves.. On the phone client it's a bit more tricky but I think you go into playback and expand the screen landscape, then there should be 4 icons on the to the right, the third one down is a camera , if you press that it'll say something about permissions.. that'll be the iphone (if that's what you're using) asking you to allow the client to access your photos.. haven't tried it but reckon it saves the files into your iphoto library..

              Cheers hope that helps

Thanks! Was unclear to me that the record in thatwas to record the playback to the local device. Thanks for the pointers!
