When I run the Reolink client for Windows, it's very stable while running in an active session. However, if the PC goes into sleep mode, upon re-awakening, the client will soon crash (within 5 minutes or less), recordings to the local drive (not the DVR itself) will cease, and the software has to be restarted. The software presents the attached message when this happens. Is there a way to correct this problem? It's quite annoying. The DVR is not in an easily accessible location on purpose, so the primary access I use is the client software.Client Software:Build - 1609130Hw No. - H3MB02Cfg Version - v2.0.0.0Fw Version - 2.0.0.4023_1322PC: Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, Intel i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz with 32GB RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTC 650 video card.ReolinkCapture.jpg
Hi, pgruikeMay I ask what's your Reolink Client version? (version number is on the upper left corner and the latest is V.7.1.2.40)Besides, are we talking about scheduled recording or recordings starts manually ?It is normal that recording stops when PC in sleep mode both ways, but recording continues when PC re-awakening when it is scheduled recording. If further query, you may also send us email to support@reolink.com so our technical supports can better assist you.
Version is V7.1.2.40 It's not the "RECORDING" that stops. It's the SOFTWARE that crashes. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) crashes.I'm running the client now. I can see all four cameras. If I should walk away from my PC, and the PC goes to sleep, when I wake it up, the software is running, but within a minute or two, I get the error message that I posted in my previous message.Recording or not, it's irrelevant. The software crashes when the PC is woken up.
Hi, pgruikeSorry for the misunderstanding with the recording, I thought you want to keep recording running when PC in sleep mode as well.Regrading the crashing issue you mentioned, we are releasing an update in November which keeps PC awake when Reolink Client is running as a solution.Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.
Hi,I run the v7.12.44 client on Windows 10 and I experience the same problem. Say the client is running and I lock my station then when I unlock the application crashed. It's consistent.Help,Jacques
Jacques,We are sorry that the new version of Reolink Client software is sometimes not stable enough. We will improve on this and get our software better to use.
I've also got this problem with V7.2.2.7 and windows 10. The client crashes after maximum one day at both my computers without any sleep mode enabled.Since I use the camera for surveillance (motion detection triggered recording) its very disturbing.Any solution available?
Hi dev, we are to release a new version of software recently. Please stay tuned to our newsletter and keep your software up-to-date.
Having same issue in version 7.2.2.10 on Windows 10Very frustrating to find the software has crashed during the night and stopped recording. Would be nice to have it run as a service so it could restart automatically.
I am running V7.2.2.12 with Win7 Pro with 5 Reolink cameras. I am recording, 3 camera motion only, to a NAS drive. The client is crashing at least once a day while it is minimized on the machine. My computer is not set to go to sleep. On a number of occasions, the client appears to lose the User Name/Password information for the cameras because upon restarting the client application I receive password error notifications on all cameras and the default admin/ login information is present in the Modify Device window. I then have to re-enter for each camera. Other times, a crash recovers normally with just restarting the client application. I would be happy to provide any debug files that may be generated.
