Is there any way the doorbell can give a Push Notification when the button is pushed but not when movement is detected. I still want the movement detection on but not to give me a notification. The doorbell is POE connected to my RLN8-410 both with the latest firmware.

@user_756125119496374_756125119496374 Yes you can. Just tag only the visitor box as illustrated below under Push Notification/Schedule menu.

@joseph_1979 Does Visitor mean when someone presses the bell, nothing to do with movement detection, because if so that is exactly what I want. Thanks for your help. Look out for my posts. I have a few more questions and you seem to know a bit about it.

Hello,
Yes, a visitor refers to a person who presses the doorbell. So, when someone presses the doorbell, you will receive a notification. However, the device will continue to record movements without sending notifications about them. -

Another question not relating to Doorbell. When a motion is detected shouldn't it keep recording for x minutes after the motion stops. I have set, Settings. Surrveillance, Record,Settings, Extend Rec Time after motion event ends to 5 minutes. When I play back and set 'alarms only' the event playbacks are still only short. The NVR is recording 24/7 anyway so does it mean that the motion will only play while the event is happening despite the 5 minute setting as the rest is being recorded anyway. -
@user_756125119496374_756125119496374 yes as explained by above member. However you may need to record persons passing by but not alerted by push notification. In this case you need to tag persons under record/schedule. Avoid tagging motion as you will get a lot of useless recordings.

@user_756125119496374_756125119496374 This setting is only applicable if your recording is based on events (alarm tab). When an object is detected, the camera checks whether it needs to be recorded. If after detection there is no activity for 10s (object no longer in FOV) then it starts the post recording timer.
Normally max post recording timer is 1 min. -
@joseph_1979 I got this working and now it has stopped. On my android phone with the Reolink app when I press Push Note. it does not change. However if I had turned it off on the NVR and app will have turned it on. I only want it for the doorbell when someone presses it. It did work twice after I took your advise and now its stopped. I even put the app on another Android phone and it did the same. Any ideas?

Only activate it through NVR and not directly. -
@joseph_1979 The Push now seems to work when it feels like it. I rebooted my 5G Home WIFI modem and I think that is what got it going. I have changed no settings for the cameras or DVR. When I press the doorbell sometimes I get a notification straight away and sometimes later. (or even not at all) Most annoying. Also when I use the Test Notification feature on the app it never works. Has anyone been able to make that work. Note I have an Android phone.

@user_756125119496374_756125119496374 So your Doorbell cam is connected to the NVR and you activated the push notification from the NVR. Correct?
And the router is on 5G mobile? -
@joseph_1979 Yes, it seems to work now but if I tick Person as well as Visitor it stops the Push working. I don't need Person anyway so that's not a problem as long as it keeps working. But I can't trust it. I will do further testing and try to see why it is intermittant and post back here. I think booting the Home 5G modem may have fixed it. I had tried that before with a power reset to no avail but this time I re-booted it by accessing it from my PC.
