@bigdaddy_771512482971796 I just received my M521 doorbell from Aliexpress and can confirm that it DOES pair with the Reolink doorbell. No instructions with it but there are instructions on the internet. Mine came with an EU plug as I don't think they have one with an Australian plug but adaptors are available. It has 3 volumes, right up to very loud, 57 melodies and will pair with more than one button. They seem to have different prices but I paid around AUD $6.50 delivered to Australia in about 2 weeks.
@sdeweb31_707475180433633 So you say that this chime will pair with the Reolink Doorbell. Is that correct?
I have a POE doorbell but I can't hear it when I am downstairs. If I buy another complete doorbell can I just use the chime and keep the camera as a spare. I want both chimes to ring when someone presses the bell. I know you can't buy the chime separately which is a pity.
@joseph_1979 I did that when I got the NVR. It does not explain everything. I will go through it again and get back to you.
I have a Reolink NVR RLN8-410 and now I have figured out how to use it I reckon it's great. But I have a couple of questions you experts may be able to help with. When I am in playback mode, what is the purpose of the green line? Also there are 3 boxes, Alarm, Normal and None. What are they for. Thanks
@joseph_1979 Thanks Joseph. I understand now. I bought an E1 and just finished installing it. It works fine on wifi so I will probably leave it at that unless I have problems.
@joseph_1979 Does this mean that with this splitter (12 volt one) I can use an ethernet cable in a spare port of my RLN8-410 or must it plug into the router. I have just bought an E1 Outdoor and got it working fine on wifi but I would prefer it to run from ethernet.
@joseph_1979 Yes, it seems to work now but if I tick Person as well as Visitor it stops the Push working. I don't need Person anyway so that's not a problem as long as it keeps working. But I can't trust it. I will do further testing and try to see why it is intermittant and post back here. I think booting the Home 5G modem may have fixed it. I had tried that before with a power reset to no avail but this time I re-booted it by accessing it from my PC.
The sound from the RCA plug is so low and I can't find anywhere if it should connect to an amp, a pre-amp or directly to an 8 ohm (eg) speaker. The level is just as bad if I use the HDMI connection to my TV which then has to be on 100 to hear anything. Is my NVR faulty? And, yes, I do have the sound ticked ON and the latest firmware.
@joseph_1979 The Push now seems to work when it feels like it. I rebooted my 5G Home WIFI modem and I think that is what got it going. I have changed no settings for the cameras or DVR. When I press the doorbell sometimes I get a notification straight away and sometimes later. (or even not at all) Most annoying. Also when I use the Test Notification feature on the app it never works. Has anyone been able to make that work. Note I have an Android phone.
