Greetings, I have outgrown my 4 Dahua 2mp camera NVR-based 5yo home system from nelly's security. Looking for something better, but more importantly, a system I can manage in a Mac environment.First basic question. If I have 6 reolink cameras, 4mp and 5mp's, all cat6 POE connected, do I have to have a reolink NVR? Or can I install the reolink software on my (unused) mac mini (i7 2014).... and record everything there, get access remotely, display on large screen in kitchen? Many thanks for your advice,Stephen
If you want to use the playback function of the Reolink software you need to use their NVR. If you use another NVR that works with Reolink cameras you can still view the live feeds with the Reolink software.
Hi Steve, yes you can. You can install Reolink Client for Mac. And you can view the cameras on Reolink Client locally and remotely.
How do I post a question to the forum?Thank you
