I just got the RLC-423WS camera and got it all setup and working great using the Reolink iOS app.

Wanting to try out the PC software, I downloaded the latest version (7.2.2.12) tonight and the software immediately found the camera, however after entering in the password, all it returns is "State: login timeout". I have tried entering in the password multiple times and have also rebooted the camera.

In another thread it was mentioned to download and try an older version of the PC software, (7.2.2.10), which I downloaded and installed, unfortunately with the exact same result.

I have absolutely no issues connecting, controlling, and viewing the camera from the iOS app.

The camera's firmware is currently v2.0.0.1055_17110906_v1.0.0.30

      Any suggestions?

With the program closed I was able to get it to work in 7.2.2.12 by modifying the "LocalSetting" file located here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Reolink Client" and changed both values for "Auto add device=1" to "Auto add device=0". This setting exists twice in this file. I do know that changing the first one by itself did not work, but don't know if changing both is required - it might just be the second one that needs to be changed.

Once changed, I was able to go back into the software and manually add the camera using the UID method. This worked perfectly.

"Auto Add Automatically" in under Local Settings on Reolink Client. By disabling that, the client software no longer scans and adds a new device on the network to the Device List. And you may add devices manually by IP addresses, Domains, or UIDs.

Good to know - too bad it is broken by default.
