      We’re thrilled to see the positive feedback on the Altas PT Ultra's recording features. To help you get the most out of your device, we’ve compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions about its battery, features, and third-party compatibility. Let’s dive in!
      🔋 Battery-Related Questions:
      Q. Why doesn't the battery last as long as expected with 24/7 recording enabled?
      A. In general, the battery can last up to 96 hours with 24/7 recording enabled. If it doesn't meet your expectations, please make sure your camera is running the latest firmware version v3.0.0.4090_24092610 (you can contact support for the update) and that Smart Battery Mode is enabled (details are explained below).
      Q. How can I charge the camera?
      A. You can use the official 6W solar panel, the provided A to C USB cable, or a 5V DC adapter (not included).

      Q. What unique features does the Altas series battery camera offer?
      A. Features marked with an asterisk (*) are exclusive to the Altas series among Reolink's battery cams:
      ● Continuous Recording*: Supports continuous recording to SD card, Reolink NVR, or the Home Hub.

      • Smart Battery Mode: As a sub-feature of continuous recording, this mode automatically adjusts settings based on battery level to optimize and extend battery life (see image below).
      • Pre-Recording Mode*: Available for SD card recording, FTP uploads, and Reolink Cloud (see image below).

      ●Privacy Masking (Up to 8 zones): Most models support up to 4 privacy masks.

      ❓ Other Frequently Asked Questions:
      Q. Does the Reolink Altas PT Ultra support ONVIF or third-party software?
      A. The camera itself does not support the ONVIF protocol. However, when connected to a Reolink NVR or Home Hub, ONVIF support can be enabled through the NVR or Hub, enabling features such as RTSP streaming and third-party software integration.
      Q. Does the Reolink Altas PT Ultra support 24/7 recording on the Reolink NVR and Home Hub?
      A. Yes! The Altas supports 24/7 recording on the Home Hub after it's updated to v3.3.0.352_240926. For Reolink NVRs, a newer firmware version is required and will be announced soon.

          @reolink-daisy Hi, exactly how soon for the new NVR firmware? I just bought this, but if it can't connect to my NVR, then it's pretty much useless for me and I'll need to return it for something else.

              Why is the firmware being hidden away with the requirement to reach out and contact support.
              This should be available on the firmware download page where ALL of the firmware should be available for download.
              I shouldn't have to reach out to support to get the necessary firmware to achieve decent battery life.
              All this does is encourage people to go looking for bootleg versions online and is a huge security risk.
              The original and authentic versions of the firmware should be readily available to all of your customers.

              Please post it publicly and stop hiding it.

                  @user_792778966765718_792778966765718 I have been asking them to prompt customers with a new fw and then it is up to them whether to upgrade or not. Every 6 months I request support to see if there is newer fw for my battery operated cams. It shouldn't be like that. We are in 2024.

                  I have 3 atlas pt ultras & a home hub pro. I don't see these settings on my iphone app or my windows app.
                  Under Surveillance / Record / Schedule I just have the 4 Schedule buttons and a save button. No Smart Battery Mode option.

                  Client version 8.17.6 on Windows.

                  Would love a Linux client. Not everyone likes using Microsoft products.

                    I want to Connect these Cams to a Hikvision NVR....... I know how to do it as I'm a Installer.
                    Have many Hik cams on UBNT Radio's but this battery stuff with solar panel is interesting.
                    Just wobdering if anybody has done it yet.
