      Hello,

I have 5 Argus 3 pro cameras around the house and car park.
I configured for each cameras, 2 notification schedules : Push + email.

When I need to leave my house for 1 day or more, I need to update 10 schedules. When I am back, to do the same again.
Of course I never do not do that.
It is a non sense as those cameras are supposed to improve security.

Same problem when I leave house for a couple of hours.

To be effectively useful, the application need to manage one schedule for all cameras.
And 1 button to enable notifications quickly, whatever the schedule.

Currently, cameras are used only during the night. It is a pity...

      Regards.
      Christophe

@cle_911680035188990 Why don't you use the shortcuts. One to enable and one to disable. Have a look at https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026049414-What-is-Scene-Mode-and-How-to-Set-the-Scene-Mode-for-Your-Cameras-on-Reolink-App/

If the cams are connected to the Home Hub, a schedule is added to the shortcuts. See https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/37479538798105-Introduction-to-Scene-Mode-for-Reolink-Home-Hub/

So you save all your videos to their SDs and if the camera is stolen........ no evidence. Consider adding a Home Hub Pro even though these cameras have FTP and you can ftp the video to an ftp server.

I never saw this feature ! Never saw the button !
It seems exactly what I need.

            So I tested it.
I followed "What is Shortcut..." : created 2 shortcuts, one for when I leave home and one when I am back.
I pressed it and enabled notifications with success.

Well. I went outside to get alerts. Nothing happened. Hum. I do not understand.

If it works one day, I wonder what do exactly the shortcut "back home" : disable all alerts or go back to standard schedule ?...

For the Home Hub, from what I understood it creates its own wifi network. Currently I have several wifi extenders to reach all cameras (and else). Not sure one wifi access point will work for all cameras...

@cle_911680035188990 Before using the shortcuts ensure the push notification is enabled and working on all cameras. Then use the activate shortcut....even though already activated. Just once. Then use disable shortcut....and when you go out enable shortcut.

I have the home hub pro and I disabled its WIFI. I am using my WIFI network which covers all my house and garden. I connected the HHP to the switch...or it can be connected to the router.

Don't forget to check for any newer firmware at their Download Center. You have to manually update the cams. For battery cams you have to ask support on support @ reolink . Com.

I think I understood how it works:

                • schedule has to be activated for 24h all days
                • one button to enable all notifications
                • one button to disable all notifications

The problem is that I have to press every day in the morning and in the evening shortcuts, plus each time there are exceptions.
Whereas of course I would like to manage only exceptions, and when back home, to switch back to standard schedules...

I have just ordered the Home Hub. But I think it won't help : same problem.
                I will see...

@cle_911680035188990 Correct. On the HHP you have three pre-configured scenes, namely, Home, Away and Disarm. Apart from these you can have an additional 3 customised scenes. Once again it is really pity that there is no scheduler. This could have easily been implemented on the HHP. Again this should have been implemented from day 1. Personal opinion.

@joseph_1979 I just received the Home Hub and it is confirmed it is useless as scenes are using the configured schedules.
                    Very disappointed.

2 cases that arrived past days with shortcuts :
                    1) Once I used the shortcut to disable all alarms with success. But one camera had its Push notification still enabled while its Email notification was disabled appropriatly. Not reliable. Of course it fired when one came at home. Harmless as we where here. But what if one camera is not enabled whereas asked to ?...
                    2) During night I enabled all alarms with one shortcuts but one morning my daughter had to go for job early. This waked me up. Without shortcuts, no problem as it was following the schedule properly configured...

Using shortcuts : to enable/disable manually twice a day at least. And not reliable. ==> to forget
Without shortcuts : no alarm if I leave the house during a disabled period in the schedule ==> what a pity !

I always wonder if engineers are using what they have built...

@cle_911680035188990 We, engineers, never use anything we develop. We let it to the customers to use it and report back ....ha ha ha:) But professional ones do conduct rigorous tests under lots of scenarios and listen to customers' feedback. I have requested Reolink to implement schedule and status for the scene mode since it first appeared. In case of cameras you need to add it for each model. But you have the HHP and it is easy to implement and query the connected devices. This shouldn't take more than a day to implement on the HHP. And this should have been there from day 1. My personal opinion.

Hopefully we see them implemented one day.

As for the activation of push notification (for example) the procedure is to activate them via the home hub scene mode (Home or Away). If you activate them through the camera settings it will not work. I spent 15 minutes to troubleshoot this....as I was expecting that it should work if I set it through camera setting from the HHP. We learn through experience.

We are in 2025 and manual scheduling is something of the past.

That would be an awesome addition to the online companyprofiledesign.ae ! If motion on one camera could trigger the others, it’d enhance the security setup.
