Today we will walk you through how to integrate your Reolink cameras with Amazon Alexa! With this setup, you can control your cameras via voice commands, view live feeds on Alexa-enabled devices, and enjoy smarter home monitoring. Let’s dive in!

      Check Compatibility
First, ensure your Reolink camera is compatible with Alexa. Here are the three scenarios we support:

      1. Standalone cameras (not linked to a hub/NVR).
      2. Cameras connected to a Reolink Home Hub/Home Hub Pro.
      3. Cameras connected to a Reolink NVR.

👉 Need specifics? Check our compatibility table to confirm your setup.
      What You’ll Need

      • Reolink App (v4.52 or later is preferred).
      • Amazon Alexa App.
      • A Reolink camera that supports Smart Home features.
      • Optional: An Amazon Echo Show/Spot (for live viewing on a screen).

      Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Link Your Reolink Account to Alexa

      1. Open the Reolink App and ensure your camera is added. (If using a Home Hub/NVR, add the hub first).
      2. Go to Cloud > Smart Home > Amazon Alexa > LINK NOW.
      3. Follow prompts to log into your Amazon account and enable the Reolink Smart Home Skill. Tap LINK to finish.

⚠️ Tip: Ensure your camera has a stable internet connection!

Step 2: Enable the Smart Home Skill

      • On the Smart Home page, toggle the skill ON (blue) for your camera or Home Hub.
        • Home Hub users: Enabling the hub activates all connected cameras at once!
        • Troubleshooting: If devices don’t appear, check our guide here.

Pro Tip: Rename your camera to something simple like “Front Door” for easier voice commands. Learn how here.

Step 3: Check Devices in the Alexa App

      • Open the Alexa App – your Reolink camera(s) will appear under Devices.
      • For Home Hub users, each camera/doorbell will show as a separate entity.

      Live Viewing with Alexa
Supported Models: Check if your camera supports live streaming here.
      On the Alexa App:

      • Tap your camera under Devices to view the feed.
      • Use the Speaker button for audio (enable audio in Reolink settings first – guide here).
      • For video doorbells: Enable the Mic for two-way talk!

On Alexa Screen Devices (Echo Show/Spot):

      • Say: “Alexa, show [camera name]” to start live view.
      • Say: “Alexa, stop [camera name]” to end.
      • Struggling with voice commands? Simplify the camera name!
