    Argus - good wifi reception but the videos taken are no more than 10 seconds

      My Argus wireless camera was very easy to set up and works very well outside 15-20 metres away from wifi hub but it only takes very short videos, mostly at around 8-10 seconds despite activity continuing in view of the camera. It will take a video of around 16 seconds very occasionally (twice a day). This will miss any important footage in or around my particular installation. Is there a way I can set it to take longer videos?

      I have tried the camera with different PIR sensitivity settings but that does not make a difference. The camera will record for long periods if I do it manually.

        We can change the recording time for motion detection into 30 seconds which is the longest. It's designed in this way and we can not make it any longer for motion detection. Please go to Device Settings->Storage->Record Settings->Record Extension. Please change it there. We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused!

              Hello Lisa

              I tried doing all that you suggested but in Argus (1) "device settings" then "storage" there is no mention of "record settings" or "record extension" within the storage menu. I include some photographs but as yet I'm unable to change the record time.

                In that case, it's highly possible that the firmware version of your camera is not the latest. Just to double confirm, the model number of your camera is Argus or Argus 2? Please tell me the UID of your camera. Then we'll push the latest firmware notification to your camera. Please go to Device Settings->Firmware Upgrade to update it to see whether you can find the Record Settings after that. Please refer to the link below to find the UID of your camera.
