I just received an RLC-411 that I would like to add to my existing Reolink 8ch NVR but it doesn't appear to provide full 802.3af power to the camera and it won't turn on. The camera will power when plugged into the supplied power adapter or when I plug it into a third party PoE switch. Is the NVR not able to provide enough power and an injector has to be used on this model camera?
Answers to your questions:1. No, it doesn't work on any of the NVR ethernet ports unless external power is connected to the camera.2. No lights are present unless externally powered.3. 3 cameras have ever been connected and only 3 show on the NVR config.4. No Password is configured for the camera.5. The switch is a Brocade ICX 6430-48 POE. The power statistics being reported by the camera on the connected switch port are below: Port Admin Oper ---Power(mWatts)--- PD Type PD Class Pri Fault/ State State Consumed Allocated Error-------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1/1/46 On On 7600 15400 802.3af Class 3 3 n/aI have this working with my NVR now by cabling port 3 from the NVR to a port on my Brocade switch and then connecting the camera to the PoE enabled port (ethe 1/1/46). These two ports are isolated to a seperate VLAN from the rest of my other LAN traffic so the camera is only seeing layer2 broadcasts from the NVR subnet.I have not connected a cable tester to the NVR ethernet ports to determine the power output but I suspect they aren't able to supply enough power to this model camera.
I should also note that this camera isn't able to record audio. In live view or recorded I have no audio playback on this but it is working on my other camera's connected to my system. I have an RLC-410 and 420 that are working fine with audio and PoE.
Thanks for your more confirmation.1. Would you please contact reolink service by email service@reolink.com or support@reolink.com for further help on this camera?2. RLC-411 has no built-in mic. So, it will not record or live view audio.
