Hi all, I purchased the Reolink go camera with a solar panel. I want to mount it to a tree at my new property to take a picture every 30 minutes of my construction sight(timelapse video over a year's time). I do not have power nor do I have access to a wifi or network by cable. I wanted to use the SIM to connect the cam via mobile data to an ftp server and take my pictures. Now apparently that does not work. No FTP support for the Reolink Go. Then I wanted to use "send email" which works, but only whenever the cam detects motion. Is there anyone out there that has an idea for a workaround? The problem is, that I can not access the cam via browser (as far as I know) and therefore I can not program some kind of automator script or such. Any ideas or support is highly appreciated. Thanks, Jacky
Under this circumstance, Reolink Go might not compliant with your requirements. The battery-powered cameras can only be accessed via UID and it does not support the FTP uploading. Besides, it will begin to record only when it is triggered by motion. Please send an email to support@reolink.com and explain your situation, we will provide you with a perfect solution.
Hi Carl, well I already contacted the support team and they could not really help either. What do you mean by "Can only be accessed via UID"?. Can I also access it with the UID via a browser? Or only through the app or client (MAC/PC)? Being able to access it not through the app or client but anyhow differently would really help. I could then program some kind of script to take the pictures every 30 minutes. The only other option seems to be:1) Access the App every 30 minutes on the iPhone 2) Take a picture and store it on the iPhone3) Safe the pictures in a folder on the computer4) generate the timelapse video on the computerI really thought Reolink would be able to help with that. I have to admit I am a little disappointed. The FTP feature would have been perfect. AND...I bought 2 RLC-511 for another use case, but this is how I tested it and I just assumed that also the Go would be able to to the FTP connection. Thanks, Jacky
That means you only can access the battery-powered camera with UID on Reolink App/Client. The battery-powered camera does not support access via IP address at present. If you want to timelapse video, you need to record or capture manually to get the material you want. You can refer to Manual Capture/Record via Reolink App to learn more. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Hi CarlI have the same requirements as Jacqueline, but I have the Argus 2.Is it possible to connect with pc client with UID to remote camera? Is there any possibility to request new features like capturing images every n minutes oder hours?
Yes, you can access the Argus 2 via UID and password remotely. You can refer to How to Access Reolink Products Remotely to learn more. But the automatic capture does not realize at present, you can only capture manually according to your requirement. We will consider adding this function to the camera in the future. Thank you for supporting Reolink.
With Argus 2's indoor and outdoor security / indoor security camera, Reolink meets the need for an inexpensive, essential wireless home security camera, just needed. Reolink Argus Eco does the same for outdoor dedicated cameras.mutilate a doll 2
