      Hello,
I've been setting up these cameras at a business and I've run into an issue where I need to cut the camera cable itself. A few of the cameras are going to be mounted outside and I need to run the cables into a gang box, but unfortunately due to the size of the cable split and the RJ45 connection, I'm unable to use cord grips. Is it possible to clip this cable past the split and terminate into another female RJ45? I found the following wiring information on the Reolink site that I wanted to double check:
      Pin 1 - orange & white
      Pin 2 - orange
      Pin 3 - green & white
      Pin 4/5 - grey
      Pin 6 - green
      Pin 7/8 - Purple

We don't recommend you to cut the cable. You may purchase a junction box for the camera from us by going to our official store of the link below for waterproof.

Thank you very much for your understanding!

I understand it is not advised to do so (not worried about warranty), I just need to know if I can rewire the camera using the aforementioned wiring and get it to work. I don't have the option to use your junction box.

If you insist on that, you may have a try and it should be working properly if you reconnect them correctly.
But it can't enjoy the warranty after you cut it off.
            Thanks for your understanding.

Did you end up getting this working? I'm in the same situation right now

I didn't get a chance to try it out yet, camera project has been paused for the winter. Let me know if it works out for you, otherwise I'll post again when I get back around to it.

                  Cynthia -

Can that wiring pin out be confirmed? I have the same issue and will probably be trying the same solution.

                  Jeff

I confirmed it by wiring up the female RK45 to a male on the cut cable side, see attached.

                    Pin 1 – orange & white
                    Pin 2 – orange
                    Pin 3 – green & white
Pin 4/5 – grey - shows shorted on cable tester
                    Pin 6 – green
Pin 7/8 – purple - shows shorted on cable tester

Might be difficult to confirm that the pin out will be correct to the camera. I plan on using a female keystone connector on the camera cable.

These may work for the right pin out.
