I watched the "How to Mount the Bullet Cameras". It ONLY describes how to change the angle of the camera (important), but nothing else as far as installation. Does any one know how large a hole must be drilled to pass through the RJ45 cable and install the "Waterproof Lid"?

I am making my own RJ45, Cat6, T568B cables to run from the camera to the NVR. Does anyone know of any issues with using Cat6?

Does anyone know if the "My Book" from WD is compatible with the RLN8-410E NVR for the 4k bullet cameras?

Cat6 is "overkill", but the cost difference is so little between Cat5e and Cat6 that you might as well.

When I mounted cameras, I thought that the mounting template had a hole in the center of the correct size.
What I did was estimate hole size (think I started with 3/4"), drill a hole in a scrap of wood, and see if I could shove all that stuff through it. No? Need bigger hole. Certainly practice before drilling into the house!

I would email support@reolink.com about the disk drive. I do not have an NVR and was unaware that it provided for attaching USB hard drives. Silly me, I thought all the drives had to be internal hard drives. All I see on the NVR "specs" are SATA internal and eSATA (external). No mention of USB drives.

I used watertight electrical boxes I got from Home Depot. See Picture. I mounted the boxes by cutting the bottoms out big enough to cover the 4-gang electrical outlets. I silicone sealed the boxes to the under-hang of the house with concrete screws. The house is concrete. I drilled a hole big enough to get the end of the ethernet plug from the camera through. I put the ethernet plug thru first and then the other two. I have boxes on all four corners of my house with the RLC-423WS (pictured) and RLC-511 off each box. I use Powerline adapter to utilize the house electrical lines to conduct the network signal. I have had this system installed for over 2 years and so far it has worked flawlessly and survived several typhoons.

Cat6 should be just fine to use. Just test prior to installing to make sure cable performs. Not sure about WD drive, but if its installable in the NVR and formidable then its basically just a hard drive. I use several WD portable drive as backup storage on Mac and PC's without any issue. If you mean as an additional mobile drive to the NVR I'm not sure as I don't use a NVR yet, the user manual for the NVR should point you in the right direction.
