Hi,Can someone please help me. I am killing myself trying to work out the settings in the app.Last night the camera detected rain constantly even though it was just a light drizzle.I lowered sensitivity, changed area for motion recognition etc.I have read rain can be problematic but!?!Today, clear sky perfect weather and it keeps recording all the time. Sensitivity about 20.(but I have played around with many settings)But it misses cars driving by etc.I have a really hard time finding any user manual.Does the settingt under "screen" affects recording. I understand it only as how I view the recorded film.Does sound enabled also trigger recording?Any help highly appreciated.Br, Peter
Is this camera wired to an NVR, or stand-alone with an SD Card in it?
I moved it a little higher and no rain last night so less of a problem.Very hard to tell a face from 6m away with infrared. More like a white blurr. It is wired to a POE injector but also has a SD card internally.BR,Peter
Thanks. Getting the right "balance" in terms of recording motion and not making nuisance recordings is hard. Rain and tree shadows are two of the worst phenomenon. I am afraid there is not much more you can do.
Sensitivity 41 Perfect clear weather.Didnt react to a big truck and a Volvo just driving by 7m away?Any specific model of camera you would recommend or this is the best solution?I can still return it.Br,Peter
Well, that's a real puzzle. I have RLC-410-5MP, RLC-420-5MP, and RLC-410WS and they all record motion 50' away (up to 20m). Day and night both. Autos, people. Mostly set on sensitivity 41. My issue is recording things I do not want, such as hummingbirds, flowers waving in the wind, tree shadows moving. (We almost never get rain in Southern California).I can say this for sure, if it's not doing what you want, better to return it than to resent it every day.
I will try more. It seems to be very sensitive to light changes.I mean clouds moving and more/less light etc triggering motion. Also what confuses me. When I look at recording quality is not very good. Pixilated and cars skipping ahead.I mean 2560x190 30fps should be much better(my settings). I even tried to download it but same.Am I doing something wrong?By the way does sound trigger recording if it is on? I have tried few cameras now and the others did.Thx! /Peter
I had some issues with video "skipping" (no pixelating) and contacted support@reolink.com.One of my issues with Playback, is I keep forgetting to click on "Clear" ("Fluent" is much lower bandwidth, not as sharp)I have never seen an option to begin recording on hearing a sound.
Something must be wrong. Live Preview looks excellent on my 2K monitor but recording is really bad in comparison. When I see something moving I can almost count fps. No way it is 30fps.I mean there is really now info och usermanual except the simple FAQ on websiteAny tips?Thx /Peter
Sorry! I had "clear" settings as streamtype in basic settings but in player you could also choose at bottom.Didn't see but thanks that you made me look Now it looks crisp and fluent. Just need to get sensor to react when they should.Thx! /Peter
The 5MP version is a standalone device and it have SD card slots and you may have the camera record to SD card. The 4MP version needs to work with Reolink POE nvr. Thanks.
Yes I have a SD Card in mine. What is shutter range and gain range? I understand what shutter is etc but how to improve in this situationen!?Thx!Peter
Hi peter, could you please report this issue to our support center: support@reolink.com. Our support team will help you with it.Thanks!
