For my Reolink Argus, the PC version is V7.2.2.33.The user manual contains several features that I don't find in the software. For example: motion detect setup, for indicating which area within the image that motion should be detected.Where the user manual shows a tab labeled "Alarm", the program's label is "RF Alarm".Is the software out of date? Or do I have the wrong user manual? Please refer to the 3 attached photos. Thank you, Art LiebermanReolinkManual.jpgReolinkScreen.jpgReolinkCoverPage.jpg
Sorry for the inconvenience. The user manual is behind of time. But please don't worry, should you have any questions about the settings, please feel free to contact us via support@reolink.com.
So, are you saying that there is no longer a way to limit motion detection to a specific area of the image?
On my Reolink Windows Client v7.2.2.33, when I click on Device Settings, Alarm, and click the Motion "Setup" button, I get the attached screen with a grid where I can select which part(s) of the screen motion is detected in.MotionScreen.jpg
Oh, damn. I skipped over the camera type "Argus". No motion setting grid on Argus. (My Bad, sorry). The Argus line uses a PIR heat measuring sensor, which actually activates the camera. The RLC "powered" cameras keep the processor running 24/7 doing things like comparing each screen, pixel by pixel.Sorry to have wasted your time. (I have no clue how to delete an embarrassing post.)
That's quite alright. Don't lose any sleep over it.BUT, could you add it to the "requested enhancements" list?Let us narrow down the area in which we want movement to trigger an action.(I know other brands of heat sensing cameras offer it.) Thanks! Art
