Camera image not full width

Why is it that the preview image (Android) shows the camera image with out of focus 'spacer' bars down the left & right edge? Surely the image could be made to 'fit' the screen properly. I know I can 'pinch & zoom' the image to expand to the full width but then I lose the top (or bottom) of the screen. It just seems a little daft!

May I know your Android App is the latest version?

Thanks, and sorry for the delay. I hadn't realised there had been a response.

I am using the latest version of the app from the Google play store - v4.23.3.2

I have added a screenshot of what it is currently and a comparison of how I would expect it to be.
