RCL-511W - 24/7 continuous recording to FTP - **help**

I've recently got a Reolink RCL-511W wireless camera.

I've set it up (no SD-card) to record to my FTP server.
I've set the file size as a maximum of 1024MB (largest allowed).

I've set the schedule to normal recording on the full calendar option.

I've noticed that the video files range massively in file size and duration.

Some videos are 500+MB and some are as small as 2MB.

I want the camera to record 24/7 (not motion sensor) and I'd have expected the video files to all be roughly the same size as it continually records.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Also, is there a way to just record video, because the only option in FTP to video and photo - so I get a photo with each video file - which I don't want or need.
