I recently purchased the RLK8-800B4 system and a few of my runs will be longer than the supplied ethernet cables. Should I get Cat6 or Cat6A cable? Is a cable with a drop (aka ground) wire needed? Trying to avoid spending half of what I paid for the system in additional bulk cable but I also want to do it right.
CAT6 can be recommended for you.For more details, please refer to https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011593434--Wiring-Standard-of-Ethernet-Cable?source=search
Even Cat5 would be OK, since the higher speed and bandwith capabilities of Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat 7 are not required, but I would use at least Cat5e , which is very affordable these days.
