Connect non reolink POE devices to NVR

I have a RLN410-16 with less than 16 cameras. I also have 2 Ubiquiti access points and a Mikrotik router which are all POE. Can I plug them into the RLN410-16 simply for the purpose of supplying power?

My guess is "no". Their communication will probably be through the ethernet cable, which instead of going to "the network" will go to the Reolink NVR and "go no further".

Looks like you are right. A camera plugged into the NVR doesn't get an IP on my network. Looks like the NVR is a layer 3 device basically instead of layer 2. Probably has its own DHCP server and private subnet. Improves reliability as it will keep working if my network isn't.

Not that it is very important but Reolink NVR does not use DHCP to allocate the IP addresses for cameras connected to the NVR and instead uses its own protocol.
In that protocol only the IP address is given to the camera. No subnet, gateway or dns is exchanged with the camera.
172.16.25.0/24 is used.

The NVR does not function as a router between its LAN and WAN interfaces.
