Hi,I just purchased an IP Dome (520) camera to test it out. Soemthing that I hadn't thought about, but had assumed, was that there would be a locking mechanism to make it more difficult for someone to come along and pull the camera off the wall/ceiling and either disable/steal it?But it seems pretty easy for the dome ones, you literally just twist and pull the cord out?? I'm really surprised by that, not even a simple screw to lock it in place?cheers
Sorry that we don't have a locking mechanism to lock the camera, but we will feed your needs back to our R&D department, hoping to improve in the future.
HiI would like to second the suggestion made by gabs, I also have the 520 cameras and it also surprised me that there was not even a screw to prevent removal - unfortunately I had to mount two of mine at a low level so this is a possibility, although I have clamped one of the cables internally to make it more difficult, the other I could not. Thanks
Thank you very much for the suggestion, we already forwarded it to our R&D team. They'll see whether we receive similar feedback and put it into the schedule. It will take time to evaluate the request and to achieve it.
