[NVR V3.0.0.118] Incomplete system shutdown
-
In the NVR menu, system shutdown.
If this option is used, a dialog box is displayed on the screen.
It is no longer possible to use the mouse, but the system does not power off and the hard drive activity light remains on and spinning.
You have to use the switch or unplug the cable but I'm not sure the hard drive likes that.

You can switch off the NVR and then unplug the power adapter. That will no harm the NVR.

very well, I take note.
thank you. -
It is our pleasure.

Hello,
It must be said that it is a little technical and it is necessary to analyze the network frames with WireShark or tcpdump.
This is not a priority but a little test from R&D would be appreciated.
PS: it is a pity that we cannot modify a post to mark Solved.
Greetings. -
This wording confused me as well and should be changed.
the older version of the 8 channel NVR said something like
SHUTDOWN COMPLETE
IT IS NOW SAFE TO TURN THE POWER OFF -
Don't worry, as long as you click shutdown and then disconnect the NVR's power supply, it will not harm the NVR. But be careful not to suddenly disconnect the power when the NVR is running normally.

I found this confusing too, and wasn't even sure when it was sade to shutdown until reading this thread. I clicked shutdown and then was presented with this message, but the harddrive activity continued so I just stood around for a while waiting, thinking it must still be going through a shutdown sequence. The wording should definitely be updated to make it clear that it is now safe to switch off the NVR....and then please unplug.

We really appreciate your feedback, we will forward your request to the R&D team in the meetings.
