Let me start by saying that the ReoLink Argus cameras are really great cameras. The CLEAR setting (1080p) with bit rate of 2048 produces outstanding live-view feeds and records excellent quality video, and it takes outstanding quality snapshots....that being said, I am truly disappointed in the Mobile App. Just not enough options to control the cameras as a good security system needs. I do understand that the software is designed the way it is to promote longer battery life, but why not allow the consumer to make that decision instead of making it for them. Definitely lacks the recording times / lengths, other than 10 sec motion detection. Lacks the ability to view from 3G/4G, which really bothered me, and lacks any kind of advanced networking or Web-Browser viewing whatsoever. How easy it could have been to add the ability to view cams in any web browser with HTTPS and add a timeout to the page code so that someone doesnt accidently leave LIVE-VIEW running and drain battery life. I purchased 6 of the Argus and I am considering returning them for these reasons. If you do nothing else, PLEASE ADD A WEB-BROWSING feature / configuring page, for all major browsers, for these cams.

I did also want to mention that the Argus was extremely easy to unbox/assemble/setup and get going on the network. It's a shame, I really had high hopes and I don't want to return them If I don't have to. Please let me know IF any of the features I listed will be added soon, as I would really like to keep them.

I had the same issue but only because the documentation was not very clear. Try disabling wifi on your phone then open the Reolink app and you should be able to connect for browsing and or configuring over the 3G/4G network. This in on an Android phone.

            Hi Larry,
The Web-Browser viewing feature for Argus cameras is not supported. May I know if you can turn to Reolink desktop Client software for option? It works on a PC/laptop so it serves exactly like a web browser does. We have no plan for Web-Browser viewing feature for Argus cameras.
As to the recording length, we are working on it and making it customizable.

Thanks for the reply Bob, I appreciate your quick response. Unfortunately I cannot use the PC client software because I am strictly a Debian Linux user. I do not own a Windows PC what so ever.Or a Mac. It would be great to have a client software for the major Linux distros (Deb & Redhat) based systems. Do you think that could be implemented fairly quickly?

Bob, are you saying the PC/Mac Desktop can be used to connect to my Argus wireless wire-free cameras?

If so I would like to know how to do it.
