      Hey all!

I contacted Reolink support but the language barrier is real. I'm either not being clear in what I am looking for or support just isn't getting it.

I want to have my PIR enabled all the time but only get notifications between certain times.

I looked into PIR schedule and it would be perfect for this, except all that does it turn the PIR off.
If they could copy that setting and make it apply JUST to notifications, then that'd be awesome.

Is there any setting in the app where I can adjust the notifiction schedule? I really only need notifications at night and mornings, not all day.

      Thanks.

I can't edit my post. I got another email from support, this time with the correct information. Apparently, there is such a thing as scheduled notifications but for some odd reason, battery-powered cameras don't get the option. I can't think of a single reason, especially since I have solar panels on them. Can anyone shed some light on this?

        Thanks.

OK, so I got another response with a link to here.

According to this, the PIR is supposed to be on and triggering. The schedule affects push notif./alerts/alarms, etc. If I am reading and understanding, this means that the PIR should be on and still triggering and recording videos. Then it's supposed to obey the schedule set however I can say with great confidence that this does not work. At least not right now.

          Here's what I did.

I set between 8AM and 5PM as disabled (because I don't need notifications throughout the day, I do still want the recordings). I then set PIR to high, just to make sure it would record FOR SURE if it's supposed to.
Since I set it up, not 1 recording has been made. So again, not sure if I'm not understanding those instructions but I still have no way to turn off notifications while still getting recordings.

Any help would be appreciated. Reolink support is just linking me these articles.

          Thanks.

Sorry to tell you that our battery-powered camera does not support the configuration of the push schedule at present. The receiving of push notification is controlled by the PIR schedule. If you set between 8 AM to 5 PM as disabled, you will not receive the push notification during this period of time, at the same time, the camera will not record when motion is detected. Sorry for any inconvenience caused to you. We will forward your request to our R&D people, we will notify you at the first time once we have the update.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
