API command for start/stop recording

Hi!
I would like to start/stop the recording via API command, but I was not successful in finding the according command.
Someone knows about?

My usecase is that I would like to record a 30 seconds video every day to a fixed time. The timer feature in the Reolink app/client seems to only allow to record a full hour as a minimum.

Maybe someone can help?

@das-dos_208145718501556 Unfortunately there is no API command which allows you to start/stop live recordings at your request. Just configuration.

Is there a real technical obstacle that prevents API to start/stop recordings or does Reolink just not support this feature for whatever reason?
Are there any plans from Reolink to support this feature?
 
Starting recordings via API would be such a game-changing feature (which other camera manufacturers seem to provide). As alternative, I use ffmpeg to record the stream. Are there more elegant alternatives available?

Since Reolink’s app has limitations with time intervals, you could consider automating this task with scripts, using a tool like cron (on Linux/macOS) or Task Scheduler (on Windows), and leveraging the Reolink API to start and stop the recording.
